Basic Purpose of the Job:  Develops and manages planning and business analytics in collaboration with Information Systems, Finance, and Operations to compile, develop, organize, and ensure quality strategic, business, and market information. 

Work Experience Required:

  • 2 to 5 years preferably in the healthcare field as a Business Analyst or Decision Support Specialist. Skilled in the development of analytical and decision support solutions to meet organizational objectives. Expertise in SQL and software development experience preferred healthcare setting. Demonstrated experience in effectively interpreting and communicating results to clinical and non-clinical internal stakeholders.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Accounting, Finance, Engineering, Healthcare Management or related field of study.  MBA preferred.

Required Skills:

  • Able to use the following software tools with proficiency: Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft SQL Reporting Services, Microsoft SQL Server Business Intelligence Development Studio,Mircosoft SQL Server Analysis Services, and Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services.
  • Able to develop and maintain complex SQL stored procedures, SQL views, SSRS based reports, graphs, and dashboards.
  • Able to develop data marts, and data models as required.
  • Knowledge of relational database structure.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, organizational skills, and interpersonal skills.
  • Keen attention to detail in analysis and data validation is critical.
  • Works well with all levels of hospital employees and vendors.  Effectively organizes and presents results.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision, coordinates long-term projects, and maintains confidentiality of sensitive patient and hospital information
  • Microsoft Excel Office Professional

Additional Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Access
  • Microsoft Visual Studio Development Environment.
  • Previous project management and project implementation experience.
  • Experience in Lean Six Sigma methodologies
  • Statistical analyses with experience with presenting descriptive statistics including the 7 basic quality tools with Shewhart control charts
